CH 201 Chemistry For Engineering Majors I

The first of a two-term sequence of selected chemistry topics for pre-engineering students. Designed specifically to provide engineering majors a fundamental understanding of chemical reactions and scientific measurement. This course will introduce students to principles, laws and equations that govern our understanding of chemical combination.

Prerequisite

Prerequisite: Completion of high school chemistry with a grade of "C" or better and a passing score on the chemistry entrance exam; or CH 150 Preparatory Chemistry with a grade of "C" or better or CH 121 College Chemistry with a grade of "C" or better, or CH 112 Chemistry for Health Occupations with a grade of "C" or better; MTH 095 Intermediate Algebra with a grade of "C" or better. Corequisite: MTH 111 College Algebra. This course includes a laboratory component.
