CHEM 352Foundational Biochemistry

CHEM 353Advanced Biochemistry

CHEM 354Experimental Biochemistry

CHEM 365Course-based Research Experience in Chemistry

Or

CHEM 366Course-based Research Experience in Chemistry

One additional Chemistry course*

One additional 300/400-level Chemistry or Biology course

MATH 161Calculus I

MATH 162Calculus II

MATH 186Applied Statistics

Or

And

PHYS 133Physics II: Electricity, Magnetism, and Waves

Or

PHYS 151Accelerated Physics I: Mechanics and Thermodynamics

And

PHYS 152Accelerated Physics II: Electricity, Magnetism, and Optics

One additional Biology course: 200-level or above. If BIOL 265 is used to complete the MATH requirement, it cannot also be used as a 200-level BIOL elective.

One additional Chemistry course: 200-level or above excluding CHEM 341, independent study, research, or thesis.

One additional Chemistry or Biology course: 300-level or above excluding CHEM 341, independent study, research, or thesis.

Note: To receive an ACS certified degree, a BS Biochemistry major must take either CHEM 211 or CHEM 411 and this does not remove the "One additional Biology course" requirement.

Biochemistry majors may not seek a second major (A.B. or B.S.) or minor in either biology or chemistry.

This page reflects the requirements for completing this major. General graduation requirements for all students can be found here
