GEOL 170 Geological and Paleobiological Evolution of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

This course will examine the coupled natural history of earth and life over geological time scales. We will focus on the origin of oceanic crusts and hot spot island archipelagos, the development of continental mountain ranges, and the relationship of geological processes to biogeography and biological evolution.
