ENG 242 Student-Centered Writing Instruction
This course is for students preparing to be writing associates or prospective teachers who want practice providing feedback to student writers, developing writing and presentation skills, and engaging in collaborative learning. By reading, discussing, and writing about writing center discourse, revising our personal philosophies on tutoring/teaching writing, and engaging in research, we will think critically about the idea of the writing center, writing center praxis and processes, and the dynamics that complicate this work. Not open to first-semester students.
