GOVT 342 Conservative Political Thought: From Old Right to Alt-Right
This course explores the historic tradition of conservative political theory. To do so, the course will untangle the competing strains of conservatism and assess their influence on the contemporary political scene. The course will dedicate particular attention to the rise of what has been termed the New Right and it will treat topics such as anticommunism, traditionalism, the culture wars, and immigration.
