PA 5217 FUND DEVELOPMENT AND GRANT WRITING
This course examines the full cycle of resource development for public and nonprofit organizations — from identifying funding needs and opportunities to developing competitive proposals and managing awarded grants. Students will gain practical skills in grant writing, including crafting persuasive narratives, developing logic models, designing project budgets, and preparing evaluation and sustainability plans. Equally important, the course introduces broader fund development strategies that enhance organizational resilience, such as donor cultivation, fundraising planning, and revenue diversification. Emphasis is placed on ethical stewardship, legal compliance, performance evaluation, and strategic alignment between grant-funded initiatives and organizational missions.
