NURS 5100 NURS & ORG THEORY
Analysis of transcultural nursing and organizational behavior with an emphasis on theories of leadership, motivation, learning, team building, organizational culture, and staff development. These theories will be discussed in relation to individual differences among staff and client populations. This theory course will support the clinical course, Transcultural Nursing Management I, in which the emphasis will be on developing nursing leadership skills in working with diverse nursing staff and in nursing administration skills of designing protocols of care responsive to culturally diverse groups of patients. Prerequisites: NURS 5000
