FA 5904 GRADUATE FIELD EXPERIENCES IN MULTICULTURAL ART AND ART EDUCATION SETTINGS
Course for graduate art and art education students. Students visit multicultural settings in which art educates, informs, and contributes to individual and societal growth. Artists investigate museums, galleries, studios, art schools, art resources, and community initiatives. Art educators spend fifty hours observing urban and suburban school settings inclusive of special needs learners. Contextual factors are examined as relevant to the edTPA or currently mandated assessment tool. Identification of research topics for future thesis. Course requires journals and written papers.
