MGS 3360 SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This course introduces the field of social entrepreneurship which develops innovative business frameworks that provide solutions to important social problems (e.g. poverty, hunger, human rights, homelessness, education and healthcare to disadvantage populations, fair trade, economic development, and environmental sustainability). Students learn about forms of social entrepreunship (e.g. nonprofit, for-profit, and hybrid organizations), opportunity recognition, strategic planning, funding, evaluation, and scaling to positively impact society in a local and global environment.
