CJ 3611 CORRECTIONAL SYSTEMS SERVICE LEARNING
Through community-based service experience at various correctional-type faculties (local jails, prisons, inmate-rights programs, and alternative to incarceration agencies), students will be exposed to a more realistic perspective when examining the social, economic and political forces affecting an offender involved in the criminal justice system. The field experience will be integrated into the course through readings, reflective writing, group discussion, and other activities. Prerequisites: Must be taken in conjunction with CJ 3610.
