BIOS 3051 FIELD BIO TERRESTRIAL
Catalog description: Field-based course providing the opportunity to collect biological data in a terrestrial ecosystem while applying current field research methods. Emphasis will be on observation, species identification, field notes, sampling methods, observational and experimental study design, mapping, data analysis, and scientific writing. Course will either be taught as a long-term field experience (i.e. Travelearn) or as short-term multiple weekend field trips and overnight camping. 3 hours lecture/ 3hours lab; 4 credits. Pre-requisites: BIOS 2201 and BIOS 2202 or permission of instructor.
