ITEC2070 Programming and Scripting

This course introduces students to the foundational concepts, tools, and practices used to streamline tasks, enhance system efficiency, and reduce manual workload in modern IT environments. This course builds essential skills in programming and scripting languages - primarily PowerShell, Bash, and Python - and demonstrates how automation can be applied across network management workflows and the cyber defense lifecycle.

Course Scheduling

The scheduled hours of instruction include sixteen hours for each lecture credit, thirty-two hours for each lab credit, and forty hours for each credit of supervised occupational experience (SOE).  Lecture credit may include formal or impromptu lectures, demonstrations, or discussions with the entire class or with small groups or individuals.  Refer to the Course Credits section of this course outline for the credit breakdown.
