Program Description
This degree prepares you for employment as an architectural CAD drafting technician for architectural design and construction firms, governmental entities, large corporations, and manufacturers/suppliers of building products. It is a comprehensive two-year study in architectural drafting, elementary design and building science. The program emphasizes green/sustainable architectural practices and essential technical concepts used in architectural CAD and building information modeling (BIM).
Career Opportunities
This degree program prepares students for employment in the following areas: architectural CAD drafting technician for architectural design and construction firms, governmental entities, large corporations, and manufacturers/suppliers of building products. Graduates may also pursue further study in architecture or engineering.
