Business Associate of Applied Science

My Academic Plans (MAPs) are designed by faculty to better guide you in retention and completion. It is highly encouraged that you complete courses in the recommended order provided below in the notes section. You should work with an academic advisor to adjust your plan based on your scheduling needs.

Program Description

This program is designed to give students the flexibility to develop a customized business degree. Required courses include foundational business, as well as general education courses. With the assistance of a Business Faculty Advisor, students develop a customized educational plan for their business elective courses. (NOTE: Students are highly encouraged to meet with a Business Faculty Advisor each semester BEFORE registering for classes).

All courses in the degree and certificate programs must be completed with a "C" or better
Articulation agreements exist with many secondary and post-secondary programs. Contact a program advisor to determine whether credits may be awarded.

Assessment testing is required for all students. Students who are reading at college-level and place into CCR 093 or above and MAT 055 or above may begin this program of study. Students scoring below this level should consult with a Business Faculty Advisor before registering for courses in this program of study.

First Semester

If you are unable to complete the entire semester list, complete as many courses in this sequence as your schedule allows.  You may complete ACC 101 if fundamental knowledge in accounting is necessary. ACC 101 will apply as elective credit if completed successfully.

Second Semester

Courses should be completed in the order listed below. If you are unable to complete the entire semester list, complete as many courses in this sequence as your schedule allows. You may complete MAT 121 or higher (MAT 122, MAT 125, MAT 166 or higher) (3-4 credits) to fulfill the MAT requirement. Accounting Principles II (ACC 122) may be taken this semester as an elective. It is recommended if you are still undecided on directly entering the workforce or transferring. If you plan to transfer to a Colorado public four-year college/university, you should view the Business AA degree MAP. If you plan to transfer to REGIS, you may continue on this pathway and follow this transfer guide.
