Program Accreditation
All programs in this catalog are approved by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE), the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE), the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training, and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). In addition to college accreditation, many programs have additional program accreditation, recognition and/or approval by State Departments and/or National Associations. A listing is provided below:
• Automotive Technology: Larimer and Westminster Campuses are both Accredited by ASE Education Foundation
• Dental Assistant: Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and by the United States Department of Education
• Dental Hygiene: Initial Accreditation by the Commission on Dental Education (CODA)
• Emergency Medical: Paramedicine AAS: Approval Pending. Clinical EMT and EMT Certificates: Colorado Recognized EMS Education Program by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment - Emergency Medical Services Division
• Forestry, Wildlife and Natural Resources:
Wildlife Technology: Accredited by the North American Wildlife Technology Association (NAWTA)
Forestry Technology: Accredited by the Society of American Foresters (SAF)
• Health Information Technology: Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)
• Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration: Accredited by the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA)
• Integrative Health: Integrative Health Professions AAS and Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching Certificate are Approved by National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Reflexology Certificate is Approved by the Reflexology Association of America. Yoga Teacher Training Certificate is Approved by the International Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Program.
• Kitchen and Bath Design: Certificate in Interior Design at FRCC is recognized as an Affiliated School by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). FRCC is a NKBA Founding School
• Nurse Aide: Larimer and Westminster Campuses are both Approved Nurse Aide Education Programs by the Colorado State Board of Nursing
• Nursing: The Associate of Nursing Degree and Practical Nursing Certificate programs hold Full Approval status by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
