AS Degree
The Associate of Science (AS) degree provides students with both breadth and in-depth of knowledge in science and mathematics that prepares them for transfer into a bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university. Students looking to transfer with guaranteed junior standing in a specific field of study may pursue an AS degree in one of the State Transfer Articulation Agreement areas: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Horticulture Business Management, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology.
In addition, we offer AS degrees designed to transfer into specific bachelor’s degree programs at designated four-year colleges or universities. These programs are: Health Promotion, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Sports Medicine.
Students may tailor the general AS degree to meet the requirements of a specific transfer institution or program. However, official college documents and diplomas will identify the credential only as an Associate of Science unless the student completes the requirements for a specific AS program.

*The number of electives remaining will vary since these are determined by selection of Natural and Physical Science coursework between 12-15 credits, Mathematics coursework between 3-5 credits, and Mathematics and Science electives between 8-10 credits.

Additional Graduation Requirements
- No developmental courses may be applied to this degree.
- Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (all grades "C" or better) to be eligible to graduate.
- Submit Graduation Application, transfer credits, and Prior Learning Assessment Credit to the Registrar's Office by published deadline.
- Students must complete at least 25% of their degree/certificate credit requirements at Front Range in order to earn their award from Front Range.
- Continuing students without a 12 month lapse in enrollment are allowed to select a catalog published during their enrollment that best aligns with their completed coursework toward their intended program of study.
