All French majors are strongly encouraged to spend at least one semester or summer term of study abroad in a French-speaking nation or territory (typically France or Quebec) at a college or university in which the language of instruction is French. Credits earned during study abroad can be transferred to Franciscan University with departmental approval.
Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirement for the French Major:
FRN 434 or 435 and a minimum of 24 credits of upper-level French courses, HST 323 or 327 may be substituted for one upper-division French course.
