DYouville PharmD Program
Admission Requirements
Franciscan University students will receive provisional acceptance for admission to D'Youville under this joint degree program by the end of the sophomore year upon satisfaction of all the following requirements and subject to all of the following conditions:
- attaining a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average in Franciscan University coursework with no grade lower than a C; no grade lower than a B in any of the pharmacy pre-requisite courses;

receiving a positive recommendation of the pre-health professional programs coordinator at Franciscan University;
- submitting all joint degree application materials to D'Youville College by March 1st of the sophomore year;
- satisfactory completion of an admission interview (as defined by the D'Youville College Admissiosn Committee) with D'Youville College in March/April of the sophomore year;
- maintaining ethical and professional standards; and
- demonstrating a strong understanding of the profession.
- All pre-professional courses must be taken for a letter grade. Pass/fail, online, distance learning, CLEP, and foreign courses are not accepted.
- AP credit is not accepted for science pre-requisites unless additional upper-level coursework is approved for substitution by the program coordinators at both colleges.
Franciscan students holding provisional acceptance will matriculate into the D'Youville College upon:
- maintaining standards detailed in the section above;
- earning a composite Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) score in the 65th percentile. The PCAT must be completed by October of the junior year;
- submitting the PHARMCAS designating the D'Youville College School of Pharmacy Early Decision option, including a HSARC letter, by the Early Decision deadline announced by PHARMCAS in fall of the junior year; and
- completing all other necessary matriculation requirements for entering D'Youville College students.
