PSY 3420 NEUROBIOLOGY OF LEARNING AND MEMORY
This course will examine learning and memory with an emphasis on both psychological and biological approaches. Topics will extend across the cellular/molecular, systems, and cognitive/behavioral domains of neuroscience, and will include an understanding of the basic and applied research objectives of this field.
- As a result of participating in this course, students will be able to:
Understand how learning and memory is measured and expressed.
Understand some of the biological mechanisms of behavioral change resulting from learning and memory processes.
Develop fluency in the reading and discussion of scientific reports.
Apply your knowledge to real-world social issues.
Perform and develop skills for self-directed learning activities
