JOU 3400 LITERARY JOURNALISM
Students read, write, and edit longform, narrative nonfiction articles and essays. Students apply journalistic principles such as compassion, accountability, truth, and accuracy to write news and lifestyle features suitable for publication in print and digital magazines and on news sites. Students also learn how to pitch ideas to targeted publications.
