EDU 3985 INTERNSHIP IN EDUCATION

Internships in Education are intended to provide contact time with a designated student population with the goal of improving identified elements of teaching and practice in direct engagement in a learning environment.  Participants identify goals specific to their intended experience in conjunction with the instructor.  Specific internship experiences, assignments, and activities are developed to provide evidence of meeting the stated goals.

Course Outcomes

  1. All internships include the stated goals, below. Additional goals specific to the internship will be developed with the University and Internship Supervisors.
  2. 1. Provide internship experience with appropriate student population.
  3. 2. Demonstrate satisfactory dispositions in internship setting.
  4. 3. Provide evidence of use of best practices in teaching and learning, as reflected in research and literature of the field.
  5. 4. Engage in reflection on teaching and learning, engagement and practice in the internship experience.
  6. 5. Demonstrate evidence of enhanced teaching and practice through Portfolio of Learning Artifacts.
