BIO 254 PRINCIPLES OF BIOCHEMISTRY

This is a one-semester course that focuses on the major themes of biochemistry within a biological context. There will be special emphasis on protein structure/function, enzyme kinetics and on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. To facilitate an in-depth understanding of these fundamental principles, we will explore specific cases where abnormal biochemical processes result in disease.
