SOWK 444 Social Work Field Education and Seminar I

Students work in selected human service agencies. 220 hours are required for the completion of the first half of the Field Education Experience. The Field Seminar is designed to enhance the field education experience. Students gain an opportunity to integrate theory and practice, discuss pertinent issues and concerns, and to share new insights as they relates to the social work profession. Emphasizes the knowledge, values, and skills of generalist social work practice.

Completion of all pre-professional and professional social work courses, Admission to the Social Work Program, and written consent from the Director of Field Education.
