EDUC 428 Music Methods in the Elementary School
Methods course designed for elementary school level (K-6). Music education theories of learning and development: methods, materials, assessment, curricula, philosophy, lesson planning, advocacy, strategies teaching reading, and techniques for teaching music. Introduction of classroom instruments, recorder, guitar, and computer literacy. Classroom observation required.

Department Chair's written consent; admission to Teacher Education.
