GPH 4500 Global Health in Film
The course includes films and documentaries that discuss topics critical to global health study, including but not limited to the AIDS epidemic, gun violence, mental health, poverty, environmental change, world hunger, the tobacco and pharmaceutical industries, struggles in power, structural violence, and imbalances in equity. Personal reflections, communal discussions, and selected readings on the above topics will supplement the films - 4 lecture hours.
