HIST 3791 Southwest Borderlands

Examines the continuous unrest of what is today considered the Southwest of the United States, including New Mexico, California, Texas, and Primeria Alta. Surveys changes in race relations, culture, religion, economics, and politics since the earliest European encounters with Native Americans in this region through the present-day, while introducing students to the field borderland studies.
