EDU 5390 Characteristics of Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers with Special Needs

This course lays the foundation for understanding the unique needs and challenges faced by infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with special education needs. Candidates will demonstrate knowledge of the characteristics of young children, including children with developmental, physical, cognitive, communication, and socioemotional delays and disabilities and will examine implications for program planning and service delivery. Concurrently, candidates participate in fieldwork experiences to apply their developing knowledge of and skills with teaching and learning.
