CMS 3010 Communication Theory

This course is a critical introduction to the role theory plays in the study of communication and in everyday life. Students are introduced to different ways of thinking about communication and begin to examine how communication shapes cultural practices, interpersonal relationships, personal values and beliefs. Students apply theories to communication events and experiences in a variety of contexts. Through study and practice, students develop an awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity.
