BUS 2008 Exploring the World of Business: Building Your Business Career Foundation I

This personal/professional development seminar prepares business sophomores to align their interests within business and related fields. Using critical thinking techniques, students conduct a SWOT gap analysis of their knowledge and skills, focusing on developing one’s "personal brand" and self-efficacy leading to career and personal well being.  Students’ explorations seek to align personal interests with business education and career paths, developing a preliminary action plan for building their career foundations. Workshops include preparation for internships, study abroad, examining employment settings, and interactions with the faculty and business communities to facilitate educational goals linked to career decision-making. Required for all business majors.
