SPAN 3203 Survey of Spain and Latin America
An advanced course designed to study the cultural heritage that has shaped nations of Latin America from 1850 to the present. Readings and discussion of 20th-century literary trends, including film, music, and art from Spain and Latin America. Topics vary but may include the Generation of 1898 in Spain, modernism, magical realism, or Latin-American women writers. The class will conducted entirely in Spanish. Pre-requisite:
SPAN 1111 or
SPAN 1113 or equivalent.
