FYE 4997 Research & Internship I
Dominican University is completing a systematic assessment of First Year Experience 'Big History.' An integral component of this evaluation is a student-led focus groups conducted with first-year students through the Dominican Big History Scholars Program. Interns in this program will learn to facilitate focus groups, collect qualitative data, and form conclusions through data analysis. At the end of the semester, interns will make recommendations for Big History program improvements to Dominican faculty and administration. Through this process, interns will learn qualitative research methods and professional presentation skills that will benefit them in their future educational and professional careers.
