Course Description
A study of microorganisms; emphasis on microbe morphology and physiology; principles of disinfection, sterilization, immunity and pathogenicity. This course is intended for pre-nursing and associate-degree nursing majors, dental hygiene, pre-medical technology, respiratory therapy and surgical technology majors. Students may take this nonmajor's course (BIOL 2420) or the major's track course (BIOL 2421) but not both.
Prerequisite(s)
One year of high school biology (or 4 semester hours of biology), CHEM 1406 or equivalent
