Course Description

Comprehensive study of weather phenomena and weather and climate research topics. Includes a study of solar and terrestrial radiation, nature of the atmosphere and atmospheric circulation, atmospheric optics, air pressure, humidity, saturation and stability, clouds and precipitation, winds, pressure systems, fronts, weather systems of middle latitudes, thunderstorms and tornadoes, tropical weather systems, weather radar, weather analysis and forecasting, climate and climate change.
