Course Description

PROFESSIONAL NURSING CONCEPTS IV (1-1-1) 51.3801 Integration of professional nursing concepts and exemplars within the professional nursing roles. Synthesizes concepts of clinical judgment, ethical-legal, evidence-based practice, leadership and management, patient-centered care, professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration through exemplars presented in the Health Care Concepts courses. Emphasizes concept of quality improvement and introduces health policy. Incorporates concepts into role development of the professional nurse. This course lends itself to a concept-based approach. Prerequisites: PHIL 2306, RNSG 1137, RNSG 1538 and RNSG 2363. Prerequisites (Transition Students): BIOL 2420, PHIL 2306, RNSG 1262, RNSG 1137 and RNSG 1538. Concurrent: RNSG 2360 and RNSG 2539. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.
