STA4024 Statistics II

Topics include: Mathematical derivation of standard statistical distributions along with their mean and variance, estimation and hypothesis testing of means, proportions, and variances, analysis of variance, simple and multiple linear regression, an analysis of count data: chi-square and contingency tables, and nonparametric methods. (Prerequisite: Placement through appropriate college placement test or passed STA 2023 and MAC 2312/2312L with grade "C" or better or permission of chairperson).
