PLAN 318 Professional Development & Portfolio Lab
This third-year lab course teaches students to create internship application materials, to identify, and to effectively network and interview for internship and job opportunities. Students will create a professional portfolio and resume to showcase the cumulative work completed during the BUPD programing. Emphasizing future career aspirations, students will learn the essentials of effective portfolio and resume design, cover letter writing, interviewing, and social media curation, as well as professional networking advice and examples. The course includes comprehensive training in software appropriate for portfolio development, cover letter writing, and resume creation. Topics include selecting and arranging projects, refining personal branding, and developing clear, compelling visual narratives. PLAN 302 is a corequisite.
