Science Writing
The interdisciplinary Science Writing minor allows Augustana undergraduates to develop and integrate skill sets in both science and journalistic writing needed to inform a general public about issues of science and technology, and to guide that public in distinguishing truth from fiction in understanding those issues. Whether applied from outside, as a writer reporting on scientific development, or from within, as a spokesperson for the scientific community, students graduating with the Science Writing minor will be uniquely positioned to occupy the essential role of building public understanding of issues ranging from global pandemics to climate change to artificial intelligence.
