Adult Education
The Adult Education Program offers free classes in the areas of Adult Literacy, High School Equivalency preparation, and English as a Second Language (ESL). The Adult Education Program also offers classes for those who hold a Degree or Diploma seeking additional learning support or transition to college/workforce services. Adult Education classes are offered in Burke, Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie, and Richmond counties.
Students seeking to enter the Adult Education Program are required to complete registration, orientation, and TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) or BEST Literacy (ESL) testing. Individuals 18 and over will need a valid legal picture identification to register. Individuals 16 or 17 years old will need a valid legal picture identification, withdrawal form from the last school attended (on school letterhead),Parents’ Permission form (available in office), and parent’s identification to register.
