Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Statistics degree program readies students to excel in a fast-growing profession that spans industries. With an emphasis on mathematics, logic, analysis and computer language, graduates are prepared to be successful and effective statistics professionals.

The Bachelor of Science in Statistics is a rigorous, 120-credit hour program. The 30-credit hour core, which includes courses in higher mathematics, probability and statistics, design, and analysis, provides a strong foundation in calculation, logic, and problem solving. The format of the program gives students the flexibility to pursue coursework in a variety of branches of statistics by selecting multiple statistics electives (9 credit hours), or to pursue a minor or major in another discipline. Students are also required to take one computer language course.
