Finance concentration

The BBA in Finance is a 120-hour program and offers two paths of specialization – Financial Services and Financial Planning, each of which prepare students for careers in the most significant areas in finance.

Financial Services Path

The Financial Services career path allows students to focus more on the interpersonal side of finance that is required in several financial institutions, such as banks, insurance and investment companies. 

The Financial Planning career path is registered with the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, Inc. and allows students completing this program to fulfill the education requirements to take the CFP® exam.

To fulfill the requirements for the Finance concentration, the student must complete 21 hours of required courses:

A. 6 semester hours of required courses:

Financial Planning Career Path:

These courses along with BFIN 3310 and BFIN 3324 have been certified by the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, Inc. CFP®. The courses meet the criteria for educating individuals who are interested in fulfilling the education requirements for obtaining the CFP–TM certification.
