OCTA 2CLN Clinical

Fieldwork Level II Course/OTA Clinical:  Students who meet all course requirements have the opportunity to function in the clinical setting under supervision of an experienced occupational therapy practitioner.  This experience gives students the opportunity to apply skills in the clinical setting.  Students will cooperate with the Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) and/or Certified Occupational therapy Assistant (COTA) in data gathering, treatment planning and implementation, discharge planning, and providing health maintenance service within an occupational therapy theoretical framework for clients with a variety of diagnoses.  Mental Health and Physical Disabilities and any additional specialization are to meet mission needs as deemed appropriate.  It is expected at the completion of this experience that the student will be function at an entry level of practice. This course is for OTA majors only.
