THE 355 HIT THE ROAD JACK: TOURING

In 2016 Beyonce kicked off her world tour of Formation, which included 15 countries, 49 performances, 2.24 million audience members, and needed a fleet of more than 70 trucks and seven Boeing 747 air freighters as well as a second stage that stored 2,000 gallons of water. Touring presents many logistical and creative challenges that require strong analytical thinking and planning. Students will engage with both the practical and creative elements of touring, and will explore how to design a show for the road and how to execute its production effectively.
