THE 323 ADV ACTING: HEIGHTENED TEXT
This advanced scene-study based acting class focuses on intensive text analysis and performance of scenes from plays that demand a heightened performance language and style. Class will focus on playwrights from the classical, surrealist, absurdist, and post-dramatic theater movements (e.g., modern translations of the Greeks, Shakespeare, Beckett, Suzan-Lori Parks).
Notes
Two two-hour class meetings per week plus extensive rehearsal time.
Prerequisite
THE 104, 223, 277, or 316; or permission of the instructor.
