THE 225 THEATERMAKING 2

This course combines a deep investigation of the acting process with an introduction to directing and the collaborative process of making theatrical performance. The course offers students a wide range of challenging roles and plays and also examines in practical terms the creative working relationship between actors, directors, dramaturges, designers, makers, and managers. Students will gain extended experience in character development and script analysis, as well as insights into the power of subtext, story/character arc, and how to make bold and productive choices in the rehearsal process.  This course is designed for those looking for an Acting Two or Directing course.

Prerequisite

One of the following: THE 104, THE 223, THE 243, THE 262, THE 276, or THE 277.
