FYS 1038 COMMUNICATING CLIMATE CHANGE

In this course, students will read and analyze climate change discourse from various communities including scientific, political, journalistic, activist, and artistic.  Students will consider how different groups frame communication about climate change for particular audiences and how communication may facilitate or complicate the audience’s understanding of the issue and the need for action. Students will put what they have learned into practice by researching a particular aspect of climate change and designing an effective means of communicating the information they have learned to an audience of their choice.
