Notice of Nondiscrimination & Title IX Policy

Connecticut College is committed to the goal of achieving equal opportunity for all and, accordingly, does not discriminate on the basis of race; color; sex; sexual orientation; gender identity, expression and characteristics; age; religion; national or ethnic origin; visible or invisible disability; or status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era. The College complies with federal and state legislation and regulations regarding nondiscrimination.

The Title IX Policy

Respect in all its forms is a core value at Connecticut College, as it must be in any thriving community. The College’s mission— to “educate students to put the liberal arts into action in a global society”—is undergirded by a set of community-oriented values. The liberal arts teach students to respect diverse thoughts and opinions, and in our residential liberal arts college setting, students learn to respect others whose backgrounds and identities differ from their own. At Connecticut College, we also stress Sexual Respect, the caring for self and others that results in healthy, harmonious, and consenting relationships.
