ES 100A INTRO TO ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
NATURE AND SOCIETY This course considers the interdisciplinary field of environmental studies from the perspective of sociology. Attention is paid to the diverse and uneven ways in which social groups influence and experience the natural world and how the environment, in turn, shapes people. Topics may include social struggles around mining, agriculture, land preservation, and issues related to climate change.

Students may not receive credit both for this course and for any other section of ES 100.
