CRT 201 THEMATIC INQUIRY

The Thematic Inquiry for the Creativity Pathway, designed to introduce students to the theory, practice, and context of creativity.  The course employs the formulation and development of questions as a method for engaging in the creative process. In addition to stating their own animating questions, students will formulate a response to every reading and develop questions in preparation for the multidisciplinary collection of guests. Throughout the semester, guests will share how creativity informs their work, influences their process, and affects their disciplines.  Examples of course content include creative thinking, problem solving, innovation, and “flow” (what it is and how to find it).  Students will be exposed to skills and techniques for increasing creativity in a variety situations – from an artist in the studio to an executive in the boardroom.
