PSYC PSYC 3323 Health Psychology
This course is a survey of health psychology, a subfield of psychology concerned with the intersection of psychology and health. Students will explore how behavioral, psychological, social, spiritual, cultural, and environmental factors influence health and illness. In addition, students explore how psychology can be applied as part of an integrated health care approach to improve patient-health caregiver communication, treatment adherence, health outcomes, and achieve wellness. Prerequisite: PSYC 1301; and 3 semester hours of psychology. Offered each spring.
