MUSI 3351 Music in the Asian Theater

Students explore music as an integral component of selected types of Asian theater. Representative works are explored from a variety of analytical perspectives, including ones informed by history, theater studies, art history, cultural theory, and ethnomusicology. May count toward the World Music requirement (musi-3348'>MUSI 3348) for all Music degrees other than the B.M. degree with a major in Music Therapy. Will satisfy the upper-level Music elective requirement for the Music minor.
